MAPS Perak




MAPS Perak (Movie Animation Park Studio of Perak) is the upcoming theme park in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. Created from a joint venture between Perak Corporation Berhad and the Sanderson Group, it was originally planned to be opened in 2015,but the expected opening date was pushed back to June 2017.It will be the first fully animation-based theme park in Asia, which will contain attractions based on DreamWorks Animation, The Smurfs, and more.

Dr SEENIVASAGAM Park (Taman DR) was formerly known as Coronation Park. It is curently the oldest recreational park in Ipoh. There is also having a mini Japanese garden in here. This garden is known as “Japanese Mini Garden” after an accord was signed between Ipoh and Fukuoka on 21 March 1989. The Japanese Garden is decorated with various rock lanterns and rock water pitchers with bamboo trees planted at the park entrance. Willows and pine trees are also planted in this park to enhance the Japanese characteristics. Lotus flowers also add colour to the park, with a wooden bridge connecting the park to the little island in the middle of the lake. Taiping Zoo (Malay: Zoo Taiping) is a zoological park located at Bukit Larut, Taiping, Perak, Malaysia. Established in 1961, Taiping Zoo is the oldest Zoo in Malaysia. It is one of the major zoological parks in Malaysia. It covers 34 acres (14 ha) and exhibits 1300 animals representing 180 species of amphibians, mammals, and reptiles. It also has a night safari. As the only zoo in North Malaysia, it tends to receive a large amount of visitors. It houses the largest number of stump-tailed macaques in Malaysia, which is thirteen, compared to six at the National Zoo of Malaysia (Zoo Negara) and five at the Malacca Zoo. Gunung Lang Recreational Park

Gunung Lang Recreational Park which is located only five kilometers from Ipoh town is one of the many limestone mountains in the state of Perak, Malaysia, particularly in Lembah Kinta. Gunung Lang is a stretch of limestone areas in the centre of Lembah Kinta and it is a recreational area in the north of Ipoh City. It can be accessed via the North South Expressway through the Sungai Siput and Jalan Kuala Kangsar exit.This limestone area was explored way back in 1880 by a Malay tin miner, whereby the mining activities were carried out in the caves here. This area was also turned into an iron ore mining area which developed a disrupted landscape area such as the swampy areas and lakes. The Ipoh Local Plan Study 2020 outlined the 111.93 hectares Gunung Lang Area as the Stage 2 Environmentally Sensitive Area and needs to be conserved.
